Lake Rises~River Fishing is Outstanding

Dusty (front) and Bobby

Looks like the very wadeable water we were getting for the past couple of weeks may be coming to an end.  That is to say unless there is some flooding down stream which of course I do not hope for.  The lake is up to 660 64 and continues to rise daily.  The lakes above us are also up and the inflow into Bull Shoals Lake is more than the outflow at the moment.  It also looks as though more rain is headed our way during the next couple of days.  The good news is after a day or two of tough fishing it has got a whole lot better on San Juan Worms.  The caddis hatches are slowing down some and we should be seeing the sulpher hatches soon.  There have been reports of a few being seen further down stream and on the lake there are some mayflies hatching.  This hatch could be prolific this year if the Caddis hatch is any indication.  Of course some heavy generation could get in the way of this particular hatch.  Our current generation flows have been roughly two units for the past few days which is good water and easy to fish and can also be good with dry flies.  eventually though these lower easy flows of a unit or two will turn into some full fledged 6 to 8 units.
