Fishing is always good and yesterday the catching was outstanding.  The fish took lots of different flies with my fisherman hooking and landing 9 brown trout for the day with the two biggest at 22 inches and 20 inches.

According to the predicted generation schedule via the phone there will be no generation on the White River from 3:00 AM till 4:00 PM tomorrow.

If you havn’t seen the predicted generation schedule click on it for a good laugh.  When I called the predicto number yesterday afternoon while I was on the river just it took forever to listen to the recording and when it was over I had to laugh.  I guess the folks at S.W.P.A. and the C.O.E. do have a sense of humor.  Just about every hour of the day has a different MW output.  I will say this though it’s more than likely closer to the truth than not as the fluctuation of water is the norm and the schedule reflects that.  I’d post it up here but it takes up way too much space for the info it actually gives.  If it’s not a joke it should be!

Fishing yesterday was up and down like the water or should I say with the water as fluctuation determined the day and how the fish bit.

The hopper action is dependent on the perfect amount of generation at the dam with 3800 CFS or less. Sorry for the picture as I forgot to take my camera off macro but it does make this 17 inch fish look like it’s 20 🙂  Just kidding.  Our weather is fantastic this week with our highs under 80 f.  Check out the fly shop page for more product info for conclave attendees.

Have a good weekend.
