April saw a decent Caddis hatch with generation for most of the month that was heavier in the afternoons and weaker in the mornings. Some no generation water this past weekend saw some pretty good fishing with planaria, sow bugs, midges and SJ worms at the dam and various caddis further down stream from Cane Island down to cotter. We are now approaching the may fly hatch with lots of the little critters seen in the form most know as Pheasant Tails (PT’S) that will soon emerge into mayflies. This should be tons of fun on no generation and weak generation water which is what is what we have been getting this past week. I would think we will see another no generation weekend but it is only a guess so take it to the bank.
