White & Norfork Generation: Tungsten Beads

The Norfork River will be shut down today until 3:00 PM. The white river will generate with a couple of units most of the day with lots of fluctuation or as we say around here their gonna Yo-Yo the water. Dissolved Oxygen (D.O.) at the penstocks at Bull Shoals Dam is low and is averaging 1.5 PPM. However at the first ramp on the Baxter County side the D.O. is higher from 4.5 to 7.5 PPM 7.0 is a good number and the state minimum. The D.O. at Norfork Dam is very poor with 0 PPM D.O. but is better further downstream from 3.9 to 6.0 ppm. Still not good but better than the 0 ppm further upstream.
