Absolute Neophytes: Sunday May 27 Report

It’s way too much fun for me to guide some folks who have never had a fly rod in their hands and in an hour have them hooking and landing fish. Such was a day this past sunday as we floated from Rim Shoals to Buffalo City. A simple roll cast to start with then the water haul and before you know it a back cast and shooting out 40 feet of line and then hooking and landing fish. Nothing big and we did miss a few but a fabulous day nonetheless with two new flyfishers added to our sport.

Since this is my first report and the website is new I’d like to extend a very appreciative thanks to my friend Matt Tucker for this website. Thanks Matt.
