Lower Flows-Less Than a Unit.

One unit at the Bull Shoals Dam

Some lower flows began yesterday at Bull Shoals Dam shortly after noon.  As of now there is less than one unit on water or 2190 CFS and 34 MW.  The water is predicted to rise downstream at Newport to about 20.5 feet which is not critical however I guess the C.O.E. is taking action on this just in case.  The lake level is at 661.12 and 24 hours ago it was at 660.39  Reports coming into the shop yesterday were that the fishing was very good until 3:30 pm when some one threw a switch and the fish turned off.  We could see this low water event for another day maybe even two.
