Back To Generation: Lake Levels Up but Dropping

Dave B. with 20" Fat Bow

The lake level at Bull Shoals has risen and now sits at 666.20 and has been dropping some and is down from the almost 668.00 level it was at earlier in the week.  Generation is starting out with a weak 3 or 4 units and amping up to a strong 5 or 6 units by the afternoon.  Our temps are hitting the 90 degree mark and I would say power demand is driving this.  Although as of this writing on sunday morning generation at Bull Shoals Dam has ceased and is scheduled to begin at noon today with heaver generation scheduled on monday.  I would guess we’ll see generation well into july and perhaps august depending on how much more rain we get the next few weeks.

Yesterdays fishing was very good with the quality of fish we caught.  A brown trout at 20 inches as well as a rainbow at 20 inches which was very fat as seen in the pic above.  We landed numerous fish in the plus 15 inch range with a few in the 17 and 18 inch range.

Good fishing.  Book your summer fishing trip by calling 870-404-8906 now.
