Wednesday

Hope everyone made it OK during this last big storm. Heavy winds here in North Central Arkansas but no snow like the folks a bit further up north of us.  The warm up begins tomorrow Wednesday with highs in the 40s.

Looks like generation on the White River for wednesday with heavy generation amping up to 5 units until 11:00 am then toning down to a unit until 4:00 pm and then back up again for peak power demand until 10:00 pm and back down to a couple of units until midnight.

Today (Friday) saw some low wadeable water on the White River and reports from fisherman were good.  Small midges #20’s and #22’s tungsten bead midges along with unreal eggs tied with glass or plastic beads and anvill eggs (tied with tungsten beads see pic on left ) tied the same way were the real winners of the day in faster water.  The generation schedule for the weekend is up:

One Big Fish

Saturday should see weak generation all day with a unit of fluctuating water that should begin this evening.

Sundays schedule calls for up to 4 units between the hours of 6 am and 10 am with a shut off between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm and starting up again at 5 pm and ramping up to 4 units.

Monday will see generation with a lull between the hours of noon and 4 with about a unit or two and other wise will be heavier with 4 or 5 units.

This evenings weather forecast is calling for a 30% chance of rain after midnight with lows in the lower 40’s and temps steady or slowly rising.

Saturday will be breezy with rain likely in the morning then a chance of rain in the afternoon with highs in the lower 50’s and temps falling into the 30’s with southwest winds 5 to 10 in the morning becoming northwest 15 to 20 in the afternoon.  The chance of precip is 70 % in the morning and decreasing to 40% in the afternoon.

I only give this forecast because I’ll be in it. Sunday should be much colder with highs in the upper 20’s with winds 15 to 20 and gust to 30.  A little warm up starts on Wednesday with highs in the lower 40’s and looks like the same on Thursday.

We’ll be out there for a couple of days this week with some hardy fisherman with whom I’ve fished with before so I can get a little more detailed with fishing reports.  One thing is for sure:  NO CROWDS…
