Another front that came through thursday slowed down the caddis hatch but not the action on the upper end of the river. We are still using caddis below an indicator on this weak generation water and catching some big numbers of fish with some brown trout mixed in with the action. The lake level at Bull Shoals has gone up about a foot or so with very little generation over 3,000 CFS or a unit. Today! Monday generation is scheduled for a quarter unit with an afternoon push of a whole unit of water from 2 till 5 pm. Normally we would start looking for and seeing a stray sulpher or two further down stream but perhaps this hatch will also be later than normal this year.
Learn to fly fish on the water this summer. It’s not so hard
