November 13: White River Fly Fishing

Kevin, Barry and Chris from the Kansas City and Lawrence area.  Got a good start on the morning with several fish hooked on the first drift.  It’s a good way to start the day and the catching pretty much stayed that way the rest of the day.  One heck of a bite with dang near a hundred fish, a couple of browns in the 14 & 15 inch range.  Good group of guys who went to high school together with brother Barry learning for the first time.  We started out at River Cliff drifting due eddy shoals and worked our way down to tucker.  Only a few spots were not so good but most spots produced well.  Cane Island, Due eddy, and the stretch above sportsmans resort on shallow gravel were the best.  This pic below was taken by Kevin at the end of the day.
