Greetings from Jimmy “T’s” Fly Fish Arkansas. The leading guide service on the White River and your SHAD KILL Head Quarters. Book your early spring fishing trip today.
Heading out to fish today. Here is todays update on flows and the lake.
The lake is down to 657.61 above MSL and has dropped 8 1/4 inches over the last 24 hour period ending at 5:00 am this morning. There is 3′ 7″ to go to hit normal pool elevation which should happen next week barring any major rains. I don’t know if generation will stop or just slow down. I suppose power demand will determine that one.
This story in todays Baxter Bulletin is related to a story I posted earlier in the month about the Arkansas Dept. of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) suing the owner of a development on the river.
YELLVILLE (AP) — Arvest Bank of North Central Arkansas has filed a petition for foreclosure on the golf course at Bull Shoals. The bank filed a lawsuit Jan. 6 in Marion County Circuit Court against Rivercliff Golf LLC; Rivercliff manager Jerry Ott and FIA Card Services National Association. The petition says the bank is seeking to recover more than $714,171 in principal, interest and fees that Arvest says was owed Dec. 31, and $167.38 in daily interest in 2010.
The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) filed a lawsuit against Ott in December for allegedly allowing runoff from a 20-acre subdivision, the Bluffs at Rivercliff, to pollute the White River immediately downstream from Bull Shoals Dam.
