Fishing Report 6/18/07~Generation

Generation for for the Norfork river has begun at roughly 2:00 pm the past few days and is around the clock for the White River with a unit or two at night and quickly going to 5 and then 7 units during the day. We continue to get some pop up showers in the afternoon that pass by quickly.

Fishing higher water with a flyrod has been productive up at the dam with lots of numbers of fish and bunches of quality rainbows up to 20 inches. These fish are very well colored and look like rainbows should look. We are bouncing the bottom of the river with long leaders (3X) up to 16 feet and #6 shot. I have been teaching the water haul to my fisherman which is an easy cast to do and will get the fly out 40 or more feel. I am carrying a Scott S3 6wt 10 foot rod and a Z-Axis 9ft 6wt which make it easy for beginers to use. I would post some pics of the latest catches but did drop my camera into the river this past saturday. 🙁

Best of luck.

Jim
