Hot Fishing

Mike D

Not only is the temperature HOT but the fishing just got hot as well.  Fished with Mike D from Heber Springs this morning and we caught the rise at the White Hole access in my boat and rode it down to the top of the hurst hole.  It was foggy when we got there and and I went upstream to blue hole looking for the rise as I knew it was somewhere in this vicinity.  We began drifting and caught the first fish at the bottom of the hole and continued down to just above the access with out another strike.  We took off further down stream and drifted again to no avail.  It was still foggy and we had been on the water for about a 1/2 hour at this point so we motored down to tucker shoals.  Got a strike on the chernobyl ant and broke off a small brown trout.  We continued down into wildcat and caught the start of the rise and the game was on at this point.  We worked the rise down to the top of the Hurst Hole for the remainder of the morning and between the two of us hooked and landed 40 or so fish and dropped a bunch more.

Patty J

The previous Friday I fished with Patty J. from Houston Tx.  The water was at about 3 units but the catching was a little tough this morning but we did manage to hook and land some fish.  No numbers to brag about but they were some healthy fat fish for Patty’s 3rd time on the water in three year.  See you next year Patty.

Good fishing

I invite my readers to check out a new website http://fishhound.com   You can sign up for by using this code in the PRO area  AR 1004 for a 30 day free trial.  Check it out as it’s a pretty neat website.  It’s still getting off the ground but there are maps with GPS coordinates and detailed reports showing the maps.  It’ll be a really good site to use on low water situations for sure. You can even use it yourself in an interactive way to keep track of your own fishing spots.
