On Monday we finished up a two day trip at Bull Shoals Dam. The previous day we fished the Rim Shoals area and decided to fish upstream in search of bigger fish. Ron Y http://www.whiteriverflyguide.com Steve Nelson 870-421-0391 and myself headed up to the dam and dropped our boats in the foggy river. The water began with a weak 1 unit and ramped up as the day went by. The catching was pretty good for all and one of rons fishermen Morgan D. had the best day with a 22 inch brown trout I’d guess at 4 1/2 lbs as well as a 21 inch rainbow. When your on a roll it just won’t stop. Good job Morgan.
The day ended with some cloud cover and the fog rolled in which dropped the temps a bunch and I almost put my jacket on. All the crew did well with good numbers of fish and tons of fun. Looking forward to seeing this crew again soon. Give one of us a shout if your looking to put together a fishing trip for a bunch of good buddies or you want to bring some customers fishing for a couple of days.
Generation and Lake Level:
The lake level is at 655.81 and dropping and generation for thursday tomorrow is for a weak one unit until noon and then levels will ramp up to 7 units by 3:00. The annual Boy Scout canoe race starts in the morning and the corps always runs some water for them so look for generation for the next two days for this event. Then I’ll be we see some no generation water after that.
