?The Obama administration will accept no more public input for a federal strategy that could prohibit U.S. citizens from fishing some of the nation’s oceans, coastal areas, Great Lakes, and even inland waters.

This announcement comes at the time when the situation supposedly still is “fluid” and the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force still hasn’t issued its final report on zoning uses of these waters.

That’s a disappointment, but not really a surprise for fishing industry insiders who have negotiated for months with officials at the Council on Environmental Quality and bureaucrats on the task force. These angling advocates have come to suspect that public input into the process was a charade from the beginning.

An opinion piece by Robert Montgomery of BASS.  Disturbing to say the least.

Low Water Afternoon Last Week.

It looks as though generation has begun this morning at 3:00 am and is scheduled to ramp up through out the morning from one unit to two units and then to four units.  If you have ever used these charts to try and plan a day of fishing then you know how frustrating it can be as yesterday generation was schedule to be off for a bit.  Of course that did not happen.  Today I will try and catch the rise at about white hole or wildcat and ride it down stream.  It would have been nice if the water was shut off for a longer period of time but then we don’t always get what we want.  The lake temps are at 42 and 43 with some warmer temps on the north side in shallower areas.  Our weather is much warmer that it has been this past week and this guide has been able to wear flip flops for the past couple of days.  I like it 🙂
